Reading, what else?

James looked at the empty sheet.

"Want me to piss off?" He asked, thinking of his own work...but he really didn't care if he didn't get that done.

She looked at him a bit bothered that he would think that "No" she poited out just so he would know. "We can both do our work in peace can't we? And it will only be more fun if we could talk to one anther to lossen up the atmosphere if it getts too foggy." she said and turned to her book. zFinding some pharagraps that she needed she strted writing.

James shrugged and dipped his quill into his ink, began to write something, but then threw his quill down,

"You know, screw this, I'll just make up an excuse or something. Quidditch practice- always a good excuse."

James then remembered Diana actually wanted to do her work,

"You don't have to concentrate on my babblings, I'm just bored. All my friends are off doing something intresting, so, yeah," He gave a slight laugh, now completely bored.

"Well you can continue with your babbling. I don't mind." she said as she continued to write.

James put his head in his hand again and read what Diana was writing. He was surprised she didn't get annoyed by this. He hated it when people read over his shoulder while he wrote,

"So Diana, do you have a boyfriend?" He asked, out of intrest.

"Why do you ask? Are you interested?" she said joking. She knew he was infatuated with a certain red head. He wasn't disturbing her, for she was already used to it.

James knew she was joking and smiled,

"You are most beautiful Diana, But I think we should just be friends, It'd never work between us." he said jokingly, as if she had been serious,

She started laughing, but stopped fast not wanting Madam. Pince at her neck yet again. "You really broke my heart, James." she said as she kept writing.

James put his hand on her shoulder,

"I'm so sorry Diana." He said his face completely emotionless...but he couldn't hold the face for long and his mouth formed into a large grin, "Anyway I don't think it's unknown that I'm after a certain red head," James thought of Lily, and smiled.

She smiled at him "If you could just stop fooling around like that just for a bit, you might have a chance."

"And completely go against my morals?" He half laughed while her brought his hand to his open mouth as a shocked gesture, "Never!"

She looked at him serious "not everything's a joke, James."

James shrugged, he knew she was right, but he couldn't allow that, "Yes, but joking is more fun."

SHe turned towards her parchment smiling. "Have it your way then."

"My way seems to always be the best, so yes, my way it is." He smiled, letting his arrogance show. "You still havn't answered my question though."

As she filled her quill with ink she answered his question "No, I don't." and then continued with her writing.

"That's actually quite surprising." James commented, "And I actually wasn't joking then!" James added, to ensure she knew he was serious.

She placed her quill on the parchment careful not to stain it "Weren't joking about what then?"

"I wasn't joking about, you not having a boyfriend is surprising,"
James answered, "I mean, as I said, your quite beautiful,"

"For a moment there you sounded like ... actualy never mind." she picked her quill back and started writing, feeling a bit stupid.

James picked up his own quill and started doodling, well, more planning another prank. He wrote down a few notes before folding up the parchment and placing it in his pockets. He would show that to Sirius later.

"Wow, you've written alot already." James looked at her essay and read through it, "Hm, I don't think anything could inspire me to go to another History of Magic lesson, the stuff is just too boring!"

She laughed bitting her lip "Tell me about it. Are you going or what?" she said as she realised that he pretty much gathered all of his things.

"Unless you can offer me something very worthwhile as a prize," He smiled, "Then no, sorry, I don't feel like being bored to death in that lesson and having to join Binns as a little ghost helper..."

"I was actually asking if you wanted to go now from the library, 'cause you seemed like packing."

James blinked, slightly confused, "Oh I see." He wasn't one to get embaressed but if you looked at him in the right light you would see a pink tinge to his cheeks, "My bad. And no, I wasn't thinking of leaving. Just putting this," He pulled out the parchment, "In my pocket." HE placed it back in his pocket, "but if you want we can go out of here. Pince is giving us evils." James looked over Diana's shoulder and flashed madam pince a smile.
